489-Pound Rapper Sues Lyft After Driver Allegedly Denies Her Ride

Rapper Dank Demoss launched a lawsuit against Lyft after a driver allegedly refused to let the singer into his car.

Demoss shared a video showing a verbal exchange with the driver to social media Jan.19. Her real name is Dajua Blanding. She said earlier in January that she weighed approximately 489 pounds.

“AM I WRONG ? @lyft what yall got to say about this yall driver discriminated against me ….. I JUST FEEL LIKE YALL TREAT BIG PPLE LIKE SHYT LIKE WE DONT BELONG HERE,” Demoss wrote. She filed a lawsuit citing discrimination, and claimed that she suffered from emotional distress and humiliation after being denied entry into the driver’s car.

The rapper claimed the driver pulled up in a Mercedes Benz sedan but then proceeded to lock the doors and attempt to drive away after he saw her. The driver could be heard in the video telling Demoss that his tires wouldn’t be able to handle the weight.

“I can fit in this car,” she can be heard saying, to which the driver responded, “Believe me, you can’t.”

As the video continued, Demoss could be heard asking, “What do I have to do with your tires?”

The rapper spoke with Fox2 News and said she felt she would have been able to accept the ride.

“I’ve been in cars smaller than that,” she told the outlet.

“I just want them to know that it hurt my feelings.”

She says she is taking action against Lyft to “change the world.”

“If I stand for something, I’ll fall for anything. Fighting for my community, my people, and making a change in the world, not just for me, but for everyone,” Demoss said.

Lawyers Jonathan Marko and Zach Runyan are suing for discrimination on her behalf. (RELATED: Woman Claims Her Massive Boobs Got Her Kicked Off A Plane)

“Lyft unequivocally condemns all forms of discrimination—we believe in a community where everyone is treated with equal respect and mutual kindness. Our community guidelines and terms of service explicitly prohibit harassment or discrimination,” the company said in a statement, according to Fox 2 News.
