The 49ers ain’t playing around!
San Francisco 49ers linebacker De’Vondre Campbell is being suspended for three games by the franchise for his outright refusal to go into the “Thursday Night Football” contest against the Los Angeles Rams, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Campbell’s campaign will likely come to an end after his suspension for conduct detrimental to the team. Currently at 6-8, the 49ers are still alive mathematically when it comes to the playoffs. However, they are placed behind four franchises for the last spot in the NFC for a postseason berth. The move from Campbell to not play in San Francisco’s 12-6 defeat made head coach Kyle Shanahan and some of his teammates angry.
“It’s not something you can do to your team or your teammates and still get to be a part of our team,” said Shanahan.

What makes this situation even wilder is the fact that the Niners may prosper off it, and that’s due to the suspension possibly saving them a slice of the $3.35 million signing bonus that Campbell was given by the franchise back in March when he inked a one-year, $5 million contract.
San Fran won this battle easily … with flying colors … however you wanna put it. Campbell got cooked here, what a moron.
