Gas prices have dropped significantly in Washington, D.C., from a month ago, when drivers in D.C. paid $3.525 per gallon for regular gas.
Delaware
The cost of regular gas in Delaware continued to rise on Monday, with the new price for a gallon of regular gas increasing to $3.202, a one-cent increase from Sunday’s price. Despite these increases, prices remain cheaper in Virginia than a month ago, when a gallon of regular gas cost $3.146.

California
California remained the state with the most expensive gas in the nation on Monday, with a price of $4.678 for a gallon of regular gas. This was a slight increase from Sunday’s price of $4.675. However, prices have decreased in the Golden State over the last week, when gas was $4.692 per gallon. Gas prices were higher a month ago in California than today when drivers in the state paid $4.691 per gallon for regular gas.
Mississippi
The cost for a gallon of regular gas in Mississippi dropped on Monday, falling to a new total of $2.676, as the state with the least expensive gas prices in the country. Prices in the state have fallen for weeks. Monday’s price point was less expensive than a week ago when regular gas was $2.682 per gallon. A month ago, gas was over twelve cents higher, with the average price for regular gas costing drivers in Mississippi $2.809 per gallon.
