A Kentucky woman was arrested Thursday after authorities discovered a dismembered body and what appeared to be cooked human remains inside a Robertson County home, according to Kentucky State Police (KSP).
Police arrested 32-year-old Torilena May Fields after receiving a call from a man who had arrived on the property Wednesday to perform work for the homeowner, according to Fox19 Cincinnati. The man claimed he had seen Fields with the victim a day prior and that the suspect was acting strangely.
“On [Oct. 8], [the witness] stated Torilena was casting spells on them and was being confrontational,” KSP said in a citation, according to the outlet.

When the witness returned the next day, he told authorities no one responded after he knocked on the door, according to Fox19. He then noticed drag marks leading to the back of the home, where he discovered a dismembered corpse with the arms, legs and head severed off, police said in the citation. Troopers allegedly discovered an even more horrifying scene once they entered the home. The officers discovered what looked like cooked human remains in a pot inside the oven that remained warm, according to the citation. Additional “body parts and organs” were discovered hidden in a folded mattress beside the butchered body, authorities alleged.
Fields, who was allegedly covered in blood when police arrived, initially refused to leave the home but was eventually taken into custody, according to KSP. She faces multiple charges, including abuse of a corpse, evidence tampering and obstruction of governmental operations, according to KSP’s press release.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released. Fields remains in custody at the Bourbon County Detention Center and is set to face a judge Monday.
