The NFL has gotten way too ridiculous at this point.
It was a close contest between the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets during their “Monday Night Football” contest, with the Bills ultimately pulling out the 23-20 victory. And while that sounds fun, it wasn’t, as the officiating was HORRENDOUS and fans loudly let the NFL know their distaste with it.
On New York‘s last drive, there were a total of four penalties called, which featured offsetting fouls. That’s just ONE drive. (RELATED: Eagles’ Nick Sirianni Hilariously Apologizes For Idiotically Taunting His Own Fanbase)
Overall, both teams got thrashed with penalties and fans couldn’t help but to take notice. In the game, both the Bills and Jets landed 11 penalties each, with Buffalo racking up 94 penalty yards and New York getting 110.
And it wasn’t just penalties, it was bad refereeing all around. Check the footage yourself.
WATCH:
That’s a TD by the #Jets. Hell of a catch by Garret Wilson.
Was initially ruled a no catch. Overturned by replay assist.#BUFvsNYJ pic.twitter.com/7ljQJpvLzv

THE REF SHOW CONTINUES🚨🚨🚨
Another awful, fake pass interference penalty call on the #Jets…
The ball was clearly uncatchable and out of bounds.
JUST PATHETIC… 100% UNCATCHABLE.

Vegas must have made a call because this is the biggest joke of a roughing the passer I’ve seen nfl!! Extends a drive for the Jets pic.twitter.com/ackgGAASGH

We live in a country. This is not unnecessary roughness. pic.twitter.com/xBWYP3T1zo

ESPN showed a montage of Aaron Rodgers’ three career Hail Marys as Packers quarterback.
On the next play, he threw his first Hail Mary with the Jets. pic.twitter.com/OScXwOmQQl

This was ruled a fumble and replay assistance changed it to an incomplete pass #BUFvsNYJ pic.twitter.com/rMzBJFecnQ https://t.co/Z4ijc6NGHs

Yeah… It was terrible.
And fans were absolutely livid about it.
There’s been so many flags I don’t even know which team I’m supposed say the refs are rigging it for.
— Iain MacMillan (@IainMacBets) October 15, 2024
They are joking with these flags 😂😂😂 this is unhinged
— Joy Taylor (@JoyTaylorTalks) October 15, 2024
Flag per play.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) October 15, 2024
The only thing that will stop these NFL refs from throwing so many flags is to convince them that both teams are the Kansas City Chiefs.

This product is unwatchable. Flag on every play. How is this enjoyable?
— Ariel Helwani (@arielhelwani) October 15, 2024
These refs. This cant be serious

And the “No Fun League” continues…
