Vice President Kamala Harris’ Fox News interview with Bret Baier last night is one of her most deceitful and least transparent interviews thus far. It has been 88 days since Harris became the Democratic nominee and she has yet to deliver the transparency and authenticity the American people are demanding.
In last night’s interview, Harris dodged questions, blamed all the products of her three-and-a-half year administration on Trump, and failed to provide policy solutions or specific plans to fix the country. Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier kicked off the interview with a question on illegal immigration, which is, culturally and societally, the top issue American voters care about. Baier asked Harris how many illegal immigrants she has released into the country since taking office — a neutral, clear-cut way to start an interview whose purpose is providing answers to the public in the remaining days before Election Day.
There is a very clear answer to Baier’s question, which is that more than 10 million illegal immigrants have entered the country since Kamala Harris took office. Instead of admitting that proven fact and diving into solutions desperately needed to fix the products of incompetency permeating our governance these past three-and-a-half years, Harris instead immediately dodged the question and provided banal, broad platitudes about how “the immigration issue is important.”
Even for someone who is not familiar with Harris’ history of deceit, the response came across as disingenuous. Harris was cornered into having to answer for the massive, unprecedented devastation resulting from a border crisis that she caused, given the fact that she was put in charge of managing the border, and her response did not possess a shred of honesty or humility.
Immigration is Kamala Harris’ biggest career debacle to date, and the American people are tired of this lack of accountability. Since 2021, over 400 migrants whose names appear on the terror watchlist have been apprehended crossing along the Southwest and Northern borders, transnational gangs like MS-13 and Tren de Aragua have wreaked havoc on virtually every city and community in the country, over 200,000 Americans have died from poisoning resulting from fentanyl being smuggled through the border by criminal drug cartels, and over 50,000 arrests have been made of illegal immigrants with criminal backgrounds.
These statistics are devastating, to say the least, and every time Harris was confronted on them last night, she pivoted to Trump.
To date, Harris has provided neither a single response to why she caused one of the worst border crises in American history nor a single solution for how to address it. If Kamala Harris is not capable of even acknowledging a direct, fact-based question about her record on illegal immigration, which was proven to be the case less than half of a minute into the interview, then that should be immediate grounds for disqualification.
The fact of the matter is that “I’m so sorry for her loss,” which was Harris’ response to Baier showing her a clip of the mother of illegal immigrant murder victim Jocelyn Nungaray, is not nearly enough to compensate for the tragedy the families of the victims have had to endure.
Furthermore, when Baier asked Harris about her recent flip-flopping on her stance to decriminalize border crossings and provide illegal immigrants with drivers licenses, Harris’ only response was “I believe in enforcing the law.” Not only is that statement false, but it is also an egregious evasion of a critical question.
After thirteen minutes of fraudulent and evasive responses on immigration, the American people still do not have answers on what Harris will actually do to solve our border crisis.
The second half of Harris’ interview last night was predominantly defined by constant pivots to Trump and his character. On the topic of the economy, Baier asked Harris why she thinks the American people have said they trust Trump more than her, to which she responded with attacks on Trump’s “rhetoric and divisive policies.”
There is not a single strategist or scholar worth his or her salt and analyzing economic issues objectively who would attribute our currently failing economy, and particularly the inflation rate hitting a 40-year high of 9.1%, to Trump’s rhetoric. Throughout the interview, there was no mention of a single policy Harris would implement to solve our economic crisis. “I will work with small businesses” means nothing to the millions of Americans whose businesses have been closing at an unprecedented rate under the Biden-Harris administration.
On the issue of Biden’s ability to govern the country, Baier asked Harris when she first noticed that Biden’s mental faculties appeared diminished. To that, Harris responded with, “Joe Biden has the judgment and experience to do exactly what he has done to make important decisions about the American people.” Harris yet again dodges the question and pivots to Trump. Zero answers on why Harris led the cover-up of Biden’s clearly declining mental and physical state.
Seventy nine percent of the American people believe the country is on the wrong track. Trump is currently beating Harris in the latest polls.
The American people, even Democrats who want to vote for Harris, can see through Harris’ shameless intention to gaslight. Last night’s Fox News interview was just the latest example of how Harris will neither admit to the widespread devastation occurring under her failed leadership nor provide answers to pertinent questions. Harris’ default tactic is pivoting to Trump, which is the pinnacle of Democrats’ talking points.
Over the past few weeks, Harris has found herself caught in a web of lies and contradictions. During last night’s interview, Harris asserted that her administration would not be the continuation of the Biden administration.
However, while on The View a few days ago, Harris was asked about what she would do differently than Biden, and she said, “There is not a thing that comes to mind.”
Ironically, this may have been Harris’ most authentic response ever.
In fact, at this point, this is the only answer that the American people need when they go to the polls on Nov. 5th. The reality is that Kamala Harris has no answers because she is a puppet in the Radical Left’s well-oiled political machine, whose intention is to destroy America.
