Taylor Swift Fan Books 191 Hotel Rooms For Her Fellow Swifties

A Taylor Swift mega-fan booked 191 hotel rooms in New Orleans in anticipation of the star’s tour stop.

Local resident Rebecca Fox demonstrated her entrepreneurial skills and tucked the rooms aside in an apparent show of dedication to her fellow Swifties. She claimed she was aware of hotels overcharging for the rooms for previous Swift concerts, and said she wanted to make sure Swifites were offered a fair price. Fox initially attempted to book 2o rooms to help fans lock in a good price, but her project quickly escalated.

In anticipation of Swift’s three-weekend concert series, Fox booked the rooms at the Holiday Inn and claimed she is managing the rentals for fans on social media, but isn’t selling the rooms for profit.

She admitted the hotel wasn’t sure what to make of her request at first.

“They were extremely apprehensive,” Fox told WVUE Fox 8 News.

“But I think once their marketing and sales person said, ‘I don’t think y’all understand what Taylor can do and what that can bring to our property,’ they changed their minds. And it’s been exciting ever since,” she said.

Fox said she drew from her own experience with the cost of hotels in Arizona when she was attending Swift’s concert, claiming some hiked their prices. She was determined to provide a better experience for fans attending the New Orleans shows.

She said she personally paid almost $500 per room to lock in fair rates to make sure Swifties can take advantage of the price

“We want to make sure that New Orleans is the best, is the most welcoming, is the safest, that they have the best time here,” Fox told WVUE Fox 8 News. (RELATED: Taylor Swift’s Concerts Really Are As Powerful As An Earthquake)

The economic boost from Swift’s concerts is being felt at each of the star’s tour stops as part of “The Eras Tour,” as hotels, restaurants and local tourist areas reap the benefits of the star’s booking power and her fan’s spending power.
