We have some interesting developments going on in Charlotte…
Surely, Panthers quarterback Bryce Young wanted another opportunity to become the starter for Carolina, but the circumstances are tough — still, a second chance is a second chance. (RELATED: Chiefs Get Even Richer After Trading For DeAndre Hopkins)
Around seven miles from Bank of America Stadium, veteran quarterback Andy Dalton suffered a sprained thumb Tuesday after he was involved in a multicar accident while he was with his wife, three kids and dog. And to make it worse, it happened on his throwing hand (right).
Panthers head coach Dave Canales made a phone call to Young later that night to tell him that he was going to be the starting quarterback against the Denver Broncos this Sunday, making the announcement Wednesday following practice. During the practice, Young handled all of the first-team reps, with Dalton standing by and watching.

Andy Dalton and his family were involved in a car accident today in Charlotte. Neither Dalton nor his family were transported by emergency medical personnel. Dalton is being evaluated by team medical personnel.

Even though I’m already labeling Bryce Young as a bust, and will always think he’s a bust, I’m happy to see he’s getting a chance at redemption. And quite frankly, I hope he proves me wrong.
He won’t, but I’m trying to be nice here … shoutout to the Queen City. That’s about all I got.
