I’m writing this at 3:00 a.m. … I guarantee Kyle McCord can’t sleep and is still up with me. (No Diddy)

The Syracuse quarterback was absolutely horrendous Thursday night against Pittsburgh, throwing a whopping five interceptions against the Panthers. And here’s what makes it even worse: three of those interceptions came back as pick-6s. The terrible performance issued the Orange a 41-13 smashing defeat at Acrisure Stadium.

It didn’t take long for things to crumble for Syracuse, with the first three interceptions happening on the very first three possessions for the Orange. Yes, it was that bad. And there was still six minutes to go in the first quarter when we got to the third, which led Pitt to a 17-0 advantage. The fourth interception came in the second quarter, and the fifth took place in the third.

As far as the pick-6s … well … witness them yourselves, as well as the misery of Kyle McCord.

WATCH:

All of this chaos led to Pitt making history: According to the ACC Network, the Panthers are the first program in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision to record three pick-6s in one half since 2005.

And just like that, Pittsburgh being an undefeated 7-0 makes sense to a lot of people who haven’t been paying attention.
