Anton Gerashchenko, an advisor to Ukraine’s Internal Affairs Ministry, shared footage that appears to show an eruption of a sewage system in Moscow.
Gerashchenko said on X that Russian Telegram channels reported a breakdown in the sewage system. “A “fountain” [of the sewage] the height of a residential building is seen in one of Moscow’s districts. A sh*t show, literally,” he wrote.

The video showed a brownish substance shooting up from the ground into the sky. Various perspectives of the camera suggested that the top of the “fountain” of the substance was taller than nearby residential buildings. The broken system is said to have blasted wastewater and debris over 180 feet into the air, Newsweek reported.
The eruption occurred in the Novaya Moskva district of Russia’s capital city that was undergoing construction, Mirror reported. Gazprom, a state-owned conglomerate, said that the incident stemmed from the cleaning out of a new section of gas piping. The company said that the situation was under control and was due to a routine fumigation operation.
The Daily Caller reached out to Gazprom for comment but has yet to receive a response.
