Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has chosen a surprising spokesman in its latest effort to garner votes.
Harris’ campaign released an ad on Sunday featuring Milwaukee Bucks coach Doc Rivers as the nation enters into the home stretch of the 2024 election. The ad features Rivers, who is a noted expert on snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, giving instructions to Doug Emhoff, Harris’ husband, Democratic Maryland Governor Wes Moore and a fourth man.
“All right, guys, huddle up. Let’s go, let’s go,” Rivers can be heard saying in the video footage. “This is the final stretch of the election. We have 30 seconds for one last play.”
The coach instructs Emhoff to “make sure that folks know that Kamala is going to take care of all of them just like she takes care of her family.”
Rivers tells the fourth man to “make sure everyone knows that Kamala is an effective governing partner.”
The coach ends by telling the viewer to go to a website to “make your plan to vote.”

Rivers joined the team in late September to show Team Harris that it’s not about how you start, it’s about how you spectacularly blow it at the end. He was appointed as one of ten co-chairs for “Athletes for Harris,” to expand Harris’ profile and reach in the leadup to the election, according to WISN.
It features high-profile athletes advocating for the vice president in advertisements aired during sports events such as college and NFL football games as well as the World Series, the outlet reported. (RELATED: Details Of New Coach’s Contract Shows It Might Be Worst Hire In NBA History)
Apparently, the Harris and Walz campaign did not check out Rivers’ record before enlisting his help in this initiative. The coach has a long and distinguished history of blowing leads in high-stakes games. He has a 16-33 record in playoff matchups where his team managed to rack up three wins and has become known for choking when his team is poised to win, according to SB Nation.
If Rivers’ record is any indication, Team Harris might be in more trouble than it seems on Election Day.
