New Yorkers gon’ New York.
At the time of publication, we’re only in the fourth inning of Game 4 of the World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees, and it’s already been a wild one. I’ve already covered Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman hitting four home runs in four games, and now here we are with another crazy situation with Dodgers right fielder Mookie Betts. In the bottom of the first inning, Betts went for a foul ball that was popped deep by Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres, and while up against the wall and after making a leap, he managed to catch it. However, following the catch, a New York fan literally grabbed Betts’ glove and tried to rip it off, and when that failed, he then pries the ball out of it.
The umpires were on point though, instantly calling Torres out and ruling the play as fan interference. And as far as the two Yankees fans who touched Betts, they were both kicked out of the game.

Talk about fan interference.
After Mookie Betts caught a foul ball, a Yankees fan tried to take his glove off, and then when that failed, he then pries the baseball out of it like it wasn’t obvious.

Like I stated in a previous blog about Yankees fans, what else do you expect?
