Y’all know he did this because he missed out on that ring…
From 2020-23, forwards Jayson Tatum and Grant Williams were teammates on the Boston Celtics, winning an Eastern Conference championship together. However, Williams ultimately left the franchise in restricted free agency after the 2022-23 campaign, missing out on his chance to win last season’s NBA title with the C’s.
And boy oh boy, did that obvious jealousy show Friday night during the game between the Celtics and Charlotte Hornets, who Williams now plays for. (RELATED: Magic Dealt Major Blow: Paolo Banchero Will Be Sidelined 4-6 Weeks After Suffering Torn Right Oblique)
With just over two minutes to go in the game, Boston was holding on to a 114-105 lead. At that moment, Tatum pulled down a defensive rebound and was attempting to take the ball to the other side of the court, but when the C’s superstar got around the mid-court line, Williams ran right into him and gave a blast to create his own version of “Friday Night Lights.”
Taking a fall to the ground, Tatum shot back up and looked irritated in a quick scene, but there ended up being no retaliation on his part.
Williams was ejected from the game on a flagrant 2 foul.

The jealousy is strong in Grant Williams!
It’s so obvious what happened here, but I’m not gonna attack Grant too much for this, because it’s like Tatum’s own head coach Joe Mazzulla said…

And we most definitely would have gotten that tonight in flying colors if the NBA allowed it — do it, Adam Silver!
