There’s never a dull moment in Jerry World.
Following Sunday’s loss against the Atlanta Falcons, the Dallas Cowboys have now suffered three straight losses and have declined to 3-5 on the season, but franchise owner Jerry Jones doesn’t appear to be giving up on the season. In fact, he said that the ‘Boys have “some things in the mix” with Tuesday’s trade deadline right around the corner. The “has some things in the mix” comment happened while he was speaking with reporters, going on to say “we’ll probably do a couple things this week. I’m a long way from being dismayed about this team this year.”
What makes Jones’ words even more intriguing is the fact that The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported in October that he had no plans of making moves at the trade deadline, which is obviously a complete contradiction to what he’s saying now.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the team “has some things in the mix” ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline, indicating Dallas could be buyers at the deadline.

Okay, so Tuesday is going to be interesting as hell. Not only do we have election day, but we also have the NFL trade deadline, and Jerry just ratcheted up things with the latter.
Days like this are exactly why I got into the media business … let’s get it!
