“Gossip Girl” actress Chanel Maya Banks has been found safe after she was reported missing Nov. 8.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) conducted a welfare check last week at the apartment Banks shares with her husband after she was reported missing, but found no sign of her, according to TMZ. All of Banks’ belongings and dog were reportedly found in the apartment. Her social media accounts had also been deleted before her disappearance, according to Newsweek. Banks has since been located and appears safe and uninjured, TMZ reported.
Banks’ mother, Judy Singh, and cousin, Danielle-Tori Singh, reportedly flew in from the East Coast to search for their relative after not hearing from her for about two weeks. They grew increasingly concerned about her safety, according to the outlet.
It remains unclear what prompted the actress to leave or disconnect from her family, and her condition upon being located is still unknown. It is also unclear whether police found her or if she came forward on her own.
Banks is best known for her role as Sawyer Bennett in three episodes of “Gossip Girl,” as well as her appearance on “Blue Bloods.” She also had a small role in the movie “Twelve.”
Foul play is not suspected in the case of her disappearance, according to the outlet. (RELATED: Police Search For Broadway Star Zelig Williams Missing Under Mysterious Circumstances)
