Ohtani, Judge, who else were you gonna rock with?

Without a doubt, superstars Shohei Ohtani (Los Angeles Dodgers) and Aaron Judge (New York Yankees) had two of the greatest seasons of all-time, and this is why the Baseball Writers’ Association of America had no problem giving them the National League and American League MVP Awards, respectively. Thursday’s voting came in unanimous fashion for both. (RELATED: MLB Is Looking To Bring Robots Into The Game, And It’s One Of Those Great Ideas Where You Don’t Fear An AI Takeover)

In his first season with the World Series champion Dodgers, Ohtani earned his third MVP and first in the NL, having an incredible campaign that featured 50 home runs and 50 steals. With the exception of the legendary Frank Robinson, Ohtani is the only player to have won the Most Valuable Player honor in each the National and American Leagues.

The captain of the Yankees, Judge nearly broke his own AL single-season home run record, but despite falling short, he still had one of the greatest seasons in baseball that saw him win his second MVP in the league in three seasons. Judge knocked 58 homers and 144 RBIs with a .322 batting average.

Yeah, it’s a bit sickening to see New York and Los Angeles dominating everything, but who the hell else were you gonna give the trophies to?
