Masked assailants allegedly kidnapped Victoria’s Secret model Luciana Curtis, 47, along with her husband and their 11-year-old daughter outside a Japanese restaurant in São Paulo, Brazil, on Wednesday night.
Th alleged kidnappers forced the family into their own car and drove them to a remote location in Brasilândia, in São Paulo’s northern zone, according to local outlet Gazeta de São Paulo. They reportedly held the family captive for 12 hours in a wooden shack equipped with basic amenities. While detained, the captors allegedly compelled the couple to make bank transfers.
A subsequent report identified the victims as Luciana Curtis and her husband and younger daughter.
The suspects allegedly released Curtis and her family in the Parada de Taipas region roughly 12 hours after the ordeal began. The family flagged down public workers in a truck and made their way to a police station to seek help, the outlet reported.
Curtis’ eldest daughter was not present during the alleged kidnapping. She became concerned the next day after she found the house empty and called her uncle, who then contacted law enforcement, according to the outlet.
Officers from Brazil’s Civil Police Anti-Kidnapping Division (DAS) interviewed the victims at the police station to piece together the sequence of events, according to the outlet. They found the shack where the family had allegedly been held, but there were no suspects at the scene by that time.

Authorities have not released any information regarding any injuries or suspect identities, and the allegedly stolen funds have not been recovered, according to the outlet. The car was allegedly stolen and its burnt remains were later discovered by law enforcement.
Curtis is best known for her modeling work with Victoria’s Secret, H&M and Harrods.
