Freelance Submissions Policy:
The American Salient accepts freelance submissions for op-eds, news analysis, and features that align with our mission of delivering insightful conservative commentary on current events and American culture. If you’re interested in contributing, please review our submission guidelines below.
- Topics: We seek original content that provides unique perspectives on politics, history, law, economics, and cultural issues from a conservative viewpoint. We value well-researched arguments, sharp analysis, and clear writing.
- Word Count: Articles should generally be between 800 and 1,200 words. Shorter or longer pieces will be considered based on subject matter.
- Exclusivity: We only accept original submissions. Please do not submit pieces that have been published elsewhere or are under consideration by other outlets.
- Response Time: Due to the volume of submissions, we are unable to respond to every inquiry. If you have not heard back within one week, you may assume that we have decided not to move forward with your piece.
