Thank God everybody made it out safe, because holy cow!

The Indiana University Indianapolis men’s basketball team was on the road recently in Highland Heights, Kentucky when they squared off at Truist Arena against the Northern Kentucky University Norse. The Jaguars ended up taking a 71-67 defeat in the game.

Well, following the contest, IU Indy was headed back home when all of a sudden their bus caught on fire after experiencing a weird mechanical problem. (RELATED: Angel Reese Screams Right In Her Coach’s Face Like Complete Lunatic)

The incident happened around 100 miles from Indianapolis. And the thing is, this wasn’t no little fire that we’re talking about — this thing was huge! It literally engulfed the entire bus in flames and turned it into a burned crisp!

Luckily, everybody from the team and staff were able to get out of the bus safely and nobody was hurt. In the aftermath, another bus picked up the team and got them back home with no further drama.

Indiana University Indianapolis issued an official statement on the situation on social media.

This is crazy, reminds me of what the buses look like on “Grand Theft Auto” after you blow it up with a bazooka — wild these boys had to go through something like that.

Fortunately, this is just a story for them to tell their future kids and that’s it.
