Adrien Brody Displays Sheer Arrogance At Oscars

Adrien Brody’s blatant arrogance at Sunday night’s Oscars ceremony cemented him as the most insufferable actor of the evening.

Hollywood has no shortage of obnoxious stars, but Brody’s relentless display of rudeness and selfishness at the 97th Academy Awards managed to set the bar even lower that what was expected. He won the Oscar for Best Actor for “The Brutalist” and when the cameras pointed at him to capture his big moment, he seized the opportunity to show the world just how much of an ass he could be. Brody began to make his way to the stage, then abruptly stopped. He proceeded to spit out his gum, then threw it right at his girlfriend, Georgina Chapman.

Social media immediately erupted with backlash as viewers fired off at the actor’s inappropriate conduct.

Sadly, that was just the beginning of his downward spiral.

Brody took it a step further by shamelessly demanding attention on stage like a spoiled child. He bored the crowd with never-ending chatter until eventually the music began to play to get him off the stage.

He refused to take the hint.

Brody held the audience hostage by keeping control of the microphone, and made it abundantly clear that he had no respect for the allocated time limit.

“I’m wrapping up, please turn the music off,” he demanded.

“I’ve done this before. Thank you,” he said, before he continued, “it’s not my first rodeo, but I will be brief.”

That turned out to be a blatant lie – he continued to bore viewers to death for roughly five minutes.

Brody thanked Chapman, who is the mother of Harvey Weinstein’s children, and commented on the “rollercoaster” experience of their lives.

The Oscar winner then abused his platform by spewing his personal feelings about society.  He said he prayed “for a healthier and a happier and a more inclusive world.”(RELATED: Pedophilia Jokes Seep Into The Oscars)

“I believe if the past can teach us anything, it’s a reminder to not let hate go unchecked,” he said.
