Athens-Clarke County Police reportedly arrested NiTareon “Nitro” Tuggle, a wide receiver for the Georgia Bulldogs, early Thursday morning.
Authorities charged Tuggle with reckless driving and speeding, both misdemeanors, according to a report from UGASports.com. The sophomore was taken to the Athens-Clarke County jail and booked at approximately 1:56 a.m., the outlet reported. An hour later, he was released after he posted a $20 cash bond. Tuggle‘s reported arrest follows numerous vehicle-related arrests that the Georgia football program has gone through over the past few off-seasons. In July 2024, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution revealed in a report that the Bulldogs have had to deal with a total of 24 driving-linked incidents since Jan. 2023.
Published after a bundle of arrests in the summer of 2024, the AJC’s piece started with the Jan. 2023 fatal crash that killed two — offensive lineman Devin Willock and staffer Chandler LeCroy.

In Sept. 2024, Georgia defensive back Daniel Harris was placed under arrest allegedly going 106 miles per hour in a zone that had a speed limit of 65 mph.
Harris was hit with multiple charges for operating an unregistered vehicle without a license plate, driving without proof of insurance, having illegal window tint and not wearing a seatbelt.
