It’s March Madness time, which means I’m watching zero NBA in the process, but that mindset caused me (and most likely yourself) to miss what happened in the game between the Brooklyn Nets and Indiana Pacers.
During the fourth quarter of Thursday night’s game in Indianapolis, Brooklyn forward Trendon Watford rushed Indiana point guard Andrew Nembhard following a made shot from Pacers shooting guard Benedict Mathurin. This immediately drew in Indiana center Myles Turner, who gave a push to Watford. From there, the scuffle escalated, with both Brooklyn’s and Indiana‘s benches clearing onto the court, leading to coaches and referees trying to break things up.
Two technical fouls were dished out to Watford for kicking off the skirmish and he was ejected from the contest. As far as Nembhard and Turner, they were each given a technical foul for the incident.
