He’s got a point…

Phil Jackson, the iconic NBA head coach who won six championships with the Chicago Bulls and another five with the Los Angeles Lakers, laid down one hell of a criticism on the league Easter Sunday — and he’s 100% accurate.

Taking to Twitter, Jackson blasted the NBA for having a full slate of games on “sacred days,” specifically Easter and Christmas. (RELATED: ‘Propaganda’: Suns’ Kevin Durant Takes Jab At Stephen A. Smith Over Potential Presidential Run)

“Again the NBA tests faith by playing multiple games on Christmas and Easter…sacred days,” posted Jackson.

The NBA had four postseason games scheduled for Easter, though it should be pointed out that every game was boring and the league has already been battling low ratings, so there’s no telling how many people actually watched it. But still, it’s fair criticism by Jackson, and fair criticism by other people who have been hammering MLB, NHL and NFL for the same thing.

I haven’t watched much NBA this season, but I won’t lie, I did watch the Miami Heat-Cleveland Cavaliers game, just because I’m a Heat fan and it’s the playoffs. I wish I was like Phil though and didn’t watch, because it was an atrocious performance by Miami.

As far as holidays, I doubt anything will change there, but it’s definitely something to think about.
