Not the prettiest pick, but I like it.

When it came to Keegan Bradley being picked as the captain of the 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup team, there was a solid amount of shockwaves sent throughout the golf community. But when it comes to the U.S. Presidents Cup captain, it’s nothing but predictability as the PGA Tour gave Brandt Snedeker the honors Tuesday.

The 2026 Presidents Cup takes place outside of Chicago at Medinah Country Club. (RELATED: President Trump Could Potentially See British Open Held At His Trump Turnberry Golf Course Again)

The International Squad is rocking with Geoff Ogilvy of Australia.

Snedeker, who is 44 years old, was an assistant for Jim Furyk at the 2024 Presidents Cup at Royal Montreal. This fall, he’ll be a vice captain for Bradley at Bethpage. Throughout his career, Snedeker has tallied nine wins on the PGA Tour, with one of those victories being the 2012 Tour Championship. Having one playing appearance on the U.S. Presidents Cup team in 2013, Snedeker also has two appearances in the Ryder Cup, losing in 2012 at Medinah and winning in 2016 at Hazeltine.

“It’s a tremendous honor to be named U.S. team captain for the 2026 Presidents Cup by my peers,” stated Snedeker in a press release. “And I’m looking forward to leading our guys into Medinah for what will certainly be an amazing week of golf.”

As you see, Snedeker isn’t throwing a Tiger Woods resume at you or anything like that, but it’s an all-around resume that looks great for a leadership role, so I have to applaud the PGA for this decision.

Now let’s go get that dub! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!
