The NFL Draft is headed to D.C.!
President Donald Trump made the announcement Monday that the 2027 NFL Draft will be hosted in Washington D.C.
Trump announced the news while joined by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris and Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser.
The president stated that the NFL Draft is a “celebration of one of the country’s most cherished cultural institutions.” (RELATED: Browns’ Devin Bush Arrested Over Assault, Harassment: REPORT)
It’s the first time in history that the draft will be located in the United States capital, and it will be held at the National Mall.
“It’s such an honor to have that, I think it will be great for everybody. Great for our country. It’s going to be something very special. There’s no scene like it. There’s no site like it,” Trump said.
Goodell stated that his expectations are that more than a million fans will show up for the 2027 three-day event.

I’m pretty excited to see an NFL Draft in Washington D.C., there’s so many different ways that the league can do it in terms of American patriotism. Would I prefer sunny skies with a few (or a lot) of palm trees for shade in beautiful Miami?
Of course, I would, but I have a feeling that this draft is gonna be pretty damn epic.
