Fifteen dollars for a High Noon?! Are you serious?!?!?
If you’re planning on being in attendance at Quail Hollow for the PGA Championship, be prepared to spend a ridiculous amount of money if you want to drink alcohol during the tournament.
The Masters does it smart, able to provide cheap prices because everything from food to beer to merchandise is Masters branded. Augusta National has some real magic when it comes to that, but that’s the problem … their magic makes them an outlier. Because when you’re looking at other sporting events, such as the PGA Championship, get ready to chop an arm and a leg off for that cup of beer.
Sports Business Journal’s Josh Carpenter posted a picture of a concession stand menu that’s at Quail Hollow, and the prices for alcohol will make you cringe. (RELATED: Phil Mickelson Completely Cooks Gavin Newson Over His Asinine Lawsuit Against Donald Trump)
If you’re into Michelob Ultra or Bud Light, a 16 oz. can will cost you $14.50. At the same size, a “premium beer” costs a dollar more, while a “premium beer” of 19.2 oz will run you $18.50. A 12 oz. can of High Noon seltzer costs $15.50.
And it’s not just the beer and malt beverage drinkers who are having to fork out cash, so are the cocktail drinkers out there.
Just check out this ridiculousness:

Don’t get me wrong, I expect prices to be expensive at sporting events, especially alcohol, but it’s still ridiculous what they will charge you for stuff nowadays, and in this economy?!
Cut us a break, fam.
