It’s been a month since the 2025 Masters and Rory McIlroy‘s victory to accomplish the career grand slam, but people can’t stop talking about it. And no, it’s not the actual golf — it’s the fact that he didn’t talk with Bryson DeChambeau during the last round at Augusta National.
After McIlroy won the green jacket, DeChambeau spoke with the media outside the clubhouse at Augusta National and revealed that McIlroy “didn’t talk to me once all day.”

A lot of golf fans got mad about this, myself included. Hell, I even ripped McIlroy then like I’m doing now!
Well, during his pre-game tournament press conference recently prior to the upcoming PGA Championship, McIlroy was questioned about why he didn’t talk to DeChambeau, and all he did was prove even more that he’s a prick. (RELATED: Alcohol Prices At PGA Championship Absolutely Absurd)
“I don’t know what he was expecting,” said McIlroy. “We’re trying to win the Masters. I’m not going to try and be his best mate out there. Everyone approaches the game different ways and I was focused on myself and what I needed to do and that’s really all that it was.”
“It wasn’t anything against him. I felt that’s what I needed to do to try to get the best out of myself that day.”
