The ol’ ball coach has given his reaction.

Auburn men’s basketball coach Bruce Pearl shot off a powerful message to the people who are still chanting “Free Palestine” after a Jewish couple was murdered Wednesday night in Washington, D.C., according to authorities.

The couple, who were both staff members of the Israeli embassy, was exiting an event that took place at the Capital Jewish Museum when all of a sudden a man allegedly shot at them at close range. The shooting resulted in the deaths of Sarah Pilgrim and Yaron Lischinsky, according to reports. The two were about to be engaged.

Pearl, a Jew, made an interview appearance on “Don’t @ Me” where he spoke with OutKick host Dan Dakich, telling Dakich that we should take the pro-Palestinian crowd seriously. And that’s especially the case considering the alleged shooter yelled “Free, Free Palestine” while he was being handcuffed and walked away by police. “There’s a tremendous rise in antisemitism and we’re going to overcome it, we are,” said Pearl. “This was a young couple, two diplomats getting ready to start the rest of their life. The young man had a ring and he was getting ready to ask this beautiful girl to marry him and start a family. That’s all gone right now, because of, quite frankly, just the lies and the incredible, awful propaganda.”

Pearl continued.

“When they say ‘Free Palestine,’ what they mean [is] free Palestine of the Jews. Free Palestine of your friend, coach Bruce Pearl. Where in the world do you get out in the street — I believe in free speech, so you get to do that here in this country — but we’ve got to take them seriously. We have to take them at their word. It’s just terrible, terrible to see that tragedy in D.C. last night.”

You gotta love Bruce Pearl … an absolute legend.
