Simone already got steamrolled, now Riley is going for the (metaphorical) kill!
After Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles tweeted at conservative activist Riley Gaines, calling her a “sore loser” and making the suggestion that she “bully someone [her] own size,” the expectations were that Gaines was going to get pummeled with hate. But quite the opposite.
Making an appearance Monday on “The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show,” Gaines stated that she was shocked. And not just by Biles coming at her to spark up this whole thing, but with the incredible amount of hate that Biles got for her comment. “I was prepared when I got that notification, Clay, on my phone for that onslaught of hatred to come towards me,” said Gaines prior to highlighting the fact that it was Biles who was the one who got hammered by social media, per OutKick. “Look at Simone Biles’ comments section… She is getting absolutely demolished to the point where I almost feel bad for her, like I really do. I have read these comments, I’m like, ‘oh my gosh!’”
Gaines then went on to say that the wave against Biles was mainly because of the Olympian body-shaming her after she just simply protected female sports.
“It was the number one trending thing on Twitter for, I mean, two days straight,” said Riley. “Even on TikTok — every TikTok video that pops up on my ‘For You’ page is someone coming for Simone Biles for coming for me and for my body.”
