It’s a party in Philadelphia tonight!
After third baseman Mark Vientos knocked his second home run of the contest in the top of the ninth inning to tie Game 2 of the NLDS between the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets, it appeared that the “Amazins” might pull out another magical playoff win to bring themselves just one victory away from reaching the NLCS — and find themselves back in Queens while they’re at it. And then the bottom of the ninth came, where the Mets’ magic died courtesy of a magician act from Phillies right fielder Nick Castellanos.
With the pressure on Philly, Castellanos popped a walk-off RBI single off Mets starting pitcher Tylor Megill to deliver his team a 7-6 victory and to tie the series, 1-1. And you better believe Citizens Bank Park erupted in what was truly an epic scene.

This is exactly what you expect in a playoff rivalry series between the Mets and Phillies, ya gotta love it!
Personally, as an Atlanta Braves x Miami Marlins fan, I do find it a little bit disgusting, but fortunately for me, the result ended up turning into a winning bet. Plus, I can’t help but to be entertained by Phillies-Mets. These NL East rivalries are something special!
And the fact that the postseason is mixed in, oh yeah, I’m game.
