Dayle Haddon, an actress and supermodel died Friday after a suspected carbon monoxide leak, officials announced Saturday.
The carbon monoxide leak at a residence in New Hope, Pennsylvania tragically claimed the life of Dayle Haddon,76,” according to the Solebury Township Police Department (STPD). A second victim, identified as 76-year-old Walter J. Blucas was found by first responders and is hospitalized in critical condition. Blucas is the father of actor Marc Blucas, Haddon’s son-in-law.
“The investigation indicates a faulty flue and exhaust pipe on a gas heating system caused the carbon monoxide leak,” officials said.
Officials responded to a call around 6:31 a.m., Friday that a man was found “lying faced down passed out on the first floor of a detached office/in-law suite.” Haddon was found deceased in a second-floor bedroom, police said.

Two medics were transported to a local hospital due to carbon monoxide exposure and a STPD officer was treated at the scene.
“This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of carbon monoxide safety precautions in our homes,” the police department said in the press release.

“The bright light that is Dayle has dimmed in this Earthly realm. Shining somewhere as radiantly as ever where it’s most needed, I have no doubt,” her daughter Ryan Haddon wrote on Instagram. “She was a woman in her power, yet soft and attentive to all. Deeply creative and curious, gifted with beauty inside and out. Always kind and thoughtful.”
Family members who were in the main house on the property were not affected by the leak, according to 6 ABC.
“She was chic, elegant. She always remembered you,” Sandy Linter, a makeup artist and friend of Haddon, told the outlet. “It was a tragic accident. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry for her family.”
Haddon had contracts with major cosmetic companies throughout her career including Revlon, Estée Lauder, L’Oréal and Max Factor, according to her website.
She began her career as a ballerina and later became a model to pay for her dance classes. She was known for her roles in TV shows such as “Get Involved!” and moves like “The World’s Greatest Athlete,” “Fiesta” and “Bedroom Eyes.”
