Awww man! We’ve got some drama cookin’ up here!
During the last round Sunday of the Houston Open, PGA star Alejandro Tosti wasn’t really relevant in the grand scheme of things, and this despite him beginning the round in second place. With that being said though, he was in the thick of things.
As soon as the day kicked off, it was nothing but struggles for Tosti, starting out with a bogey on the first hole. From there, he ended up falling a good chunk of shots behind Min Woo Lee, his playing partner and ultimately the winner. Around 90 minutes into the round, it was a friendly situation for Tosti and Lee, but when we got to the Par 5 8th hole, things changed.
Hitting his tee shot wayward, Lee left his ball right under a bush that was far to the fairway’s right. Thinking about knocking a risky shot or just taking a penalty to move on, Lee decided to skip it and ended up saving par. But he did so after a whopping 12 minute-delay. Well, Tosti wasn’t happy about this whatsoever, and as a result, spoke to a rules official and complained about Lee’s slow pace.
Fast forward four more holes and even more drama popped off.
After the Par 4 12th hole tee shots were completed, Tosti moved incredibly slow as he was headed towards the fairway, something that the NBC broadcasting team even pointed out.
“I don’t know what’s going on, but Tosti is playing at his own pace. At times, it’s normal. At times, it’s glacially slow. But he’s decided on this particular hole to really take his time, and he’s holding up play in this last group.”

A lot of people thought that Tosti was intentionally moving slow because of what Lee did four holes earlier.
Getting irked by the situation, Tosti replied to a post Monday from Brentley Romine of Golf Channel, and he didn’t hold back whatsoever. Well, other than eventually deleting the tweet, but Golf Digest (God bless ’em) grabbed the screenshot.
“Playing at my own page… omg. Because I took a piss on the restroom and prepared myself a drink I am “slow playing and trying to throw off my playing partners”…. Go f0ck yourself failures,” ranted Tosti. “Btw stop the fake news idi0ts. There was no confrontation with Fox on the 1st hole.”
Shortly after deleting his post, Tosti decided to put out another tweet. It had the same message as the original tweet, but nowhere as vulgar.
