It ain’t Philly without some drama!
When a sports team is swimming in some kind of championship glory, things tend to get a little rowdy in the streets of Philadelphia. You can almost guarantee it. And that’s exactly what happened after the Eagles smashed the Washington Commanders to win the NFC Championship on Sunday and punch their tickets to Super Bowl LIX. Now in Philly’s defense, most fans were celebrating by just filling the streets and climbing on a couple of light poles, harmless fun when it comes to being a part of the Bird Gang. But with that being said, we did have a couple of wild incidents, and violent ones at that.
Not much longer after the Eagles locked up the win against the Commanders, a 34-year-old man allegedly stabbed a 25-year-old man in Lincoln Financial Field’s parking lot following an argument between the two parties. The latter was sent to the hospital and is currently in stable condition, while the former was arrested.

Another incident brought even crazier chaos, as a driver allegedly drove through a crowd of Eagles fans — and there were thousands of them — that filled the streets of Philadelphia to celebrate. And though this isn’t being categorized as a terrorist attack, just chalked up as some Philly ish, several people were unfortunately injured. Multiple had to go to the hospital, per NBC Philadelphia.
According to a witness, an argument that started eventually escalated to a woman driving “straight down into the crowd and hit probably at least 30 people.”
