As Kamala Harris Makes Bad Mistake In Swing States, Trump Finds The Perfect Attack

Vice President Kamala Harris hit the campaign trail Monday with former Republican Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney in an attempt to court more moderate Republicans of the country club variety living in swing states.

Cheney will join Harris in Chester County, Pennsylvania, as well as Oakland County, Michigan, and Waukesha County, Wisconsin, for moderated discussions with the neoconservative publisher of The Bulwark, Sarah Longwell, and former Bulwark writer and neoconservative Charlie Sykes, according to ABC News.

Trump attacked Harris and Cheney on Truth Social, specifically drawing attention to the Cheney family’s political legacy and former Vice President Dick Cheney’s warmongering during the Bush administration. (Click HERE to sign up for Mr. Right’s weekly newsletter)

It’s a pretty savvy move from the Trump campaign to frame the attack by appealing to Muslim Americans, many of whom live in Michigan. The Daily Caller recently reported on the Muslim activists and socialists fed up with the Biden-Harris administration’s policies toward Israel, who are working overtime to sabotage Kamala’s campaign in the battleground state. If enough Muslims refuse to vote entirely, the state could very well tip in Trump’s favor, according to the activist heading the group, Drive 75. The Harris-Walz campaign seems to be taking a pretty big, and pretty stupid, gamble. Trotting out Liz Cheney as a political prop maybe, maybe, will energize those affluent, liberal Republican types who cannot stomach the idea of another populist Trump administration. How many of those people are there in Rust Belt states, anyway? However, it seems far more likely, virtually guaranteed, that a Muslim American upset with U.S. support of Israel will be that much more unmotivated to vote by the sight of Cheney campaigning with Harris than a squishy Republican will be excited by it.

If I were Kamala Harris, I would not be doing anything more to upset the activists and Muslim Americans working behind the scenes to wreck my campaign. I would be full-on damage control with that demographic. I would be reading the Daily Caller’s story and doing a media blitz among Muslim-American communities across the Midwest.

But Harris’s campaign events with Cheney, like her Vogue cover shoot, seem to encapsulate the modern Democratic Party to a fault: a party made up of warmongering, corporate elites who have completely forgotten about their working-class constituents and will do anything to serve the D.C. political class.
