William Hardrick, a defensive back for Austin Peay and previously playing for Miami (Ohio) and Mississippi State, has tragically passed away. He was 22 years old.
Austin Peay University made the announcement Wednesday of Hardrick‘s passing.

Arrested from the crash was John Walter McAdams, who was hit with a charge of murder and two for a DUI and leaving the scene of an accident with injury. Investigating the incident was Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
It’s alleged that McAdams was operating a semitractor-trailer.
“We are truly saddened by the passing of William Hardrick, a new member of our football program and the Austin Peay family,” said Austin Peay athletic director Gerald Harrison in an official statement. “All of our thoughts and prayers are with the Hardrick Family today. We will do everything we can to support his friends, family, and teammates at this time.”

Jeff Faris, the head coach of the Governors, branded Hardrick an “exceptional young man.”
“Our team is heartbroken by his loss,” added Faris. “He made everyone around him better and has made a real impact both on and off the field. We lift up the Hardrick family in prayer as we grieve this tragic loss with them.”
