President Joe Biden’s election-pandering to American Muslims was always irresponsible in that it helped fuel antisemitism and indirectly aided terrorists. Now, we know it got an American soldier killed as well.

Back when Biden was still running for president, he and his team were panicking over possibly losing support from activist Muslim voters who wanted Biden to be more anti-Israel. Biden did his best to pressure Israel into surrendering for months after the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks but had to resort to pandering to those voters by funneling aid to Gaza. That led to a grand plan to build a temporary aid pier using the U.S. military to make it seem like Biden was treating this seriously.

Biden then put U.S. soldiers in harm’s way and spent at least $320 million in taxpayer dollars on the pier, which was used for just 20 days and almost certainly did not get any aid to Palestinian civilians, which the Pentagon itself admitted. All of this was a resounding failure, but on Monday, the biggest failure of the entire debacle was revealed.

Sgt. Quandarius Stanley, a 23-year-old soldier from South Carolina, was injured in May when working on the pier. It was announced on Monday that he had succumbed to his injuries, meaning Stanley gave his life working on a rushed, poorly planned political project designed to salvage Biden’s support in Dearborn, Michigan. Stanley died working on a political stunt that failed to deliver aid to anyone other than the Hamas terrorists who stole it.

This is a completely unavoidable tragedy, and it is right in line with how reckless Biden has been when it comes to the lives of American service members when he has a political stunt he wants to complete. Biden rushed the poorly planned withdrawal from Afghanistan so he could have a political talking point about ending America’s presence in the country on Sept. 11, resulting in a chaotic withdrawal that got 13 U.S. service members killed by a suicide bomber after Biden entrusted the security of the withdrawal to the Taliban.

Just as with those 13, Stanley should still be alive. His death was entirely avoidable, the result of Biden’s toxic insistence on politicizing every aspect of the presidency to protect himself or forward his political agenda. Biden’s utter incompetence and his personal and political selfishness got a U.S. soldier killed, the final tragedy in an abysmal four years full of tragedies and failures that all trace back to the man in charge.
