Britney Spears has reportedly reunited with her 18-year-old son Jayden after being estranged for several years.
An insider close to the situation said the two have been working on repairing their relationship behind the scenes, according to Page Six. Jayden has been living with his father Kevin Federline and his brother, Sean Preston, in Hawaii, and Spears has been living in her $7.4 million mansion in Thousand Oaks, California.
“They have been spending a lot of time together,” the insider told Page Six.
A second person close to the situation said Jayden has been “back in California” since moving to Hawaii, but it’s unclear whether or not he was staying with Spears or living elsewhere during his time in the area, according to Page Six.
“Britney is thrilled to have her baby back,” the individual said. “Everything is moving in the right direction.”
It was previously reported that he and Preston called Spears to wish her a happy Mother’s Day in May, a moment that Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, referred to as being “a good sign” for them.
“Obviously a reconciliation/reunification is somewhat complex and can be a process that takes some time,” Kaplan told Page Six back in June. He went on to note that Federline “supports the boys having a relationship with their mother.”
However, reports of the reunion of Jayden and his famous mother seems to be interpreted differently by Federline, according to TMZ.
“If there has been a reconciliation it’s news to Kevin,” Kaplan told the outlet Monday.
He went on to say Federline often communicates with Jayden but hasn’t been informed of any reconciliation between him and Spears.
Federline moved his children to Hawaii in August 2023 following his wife, Victoria Prince, securing a position at the University of Hawaii as a volleyball coach. (RELATED: Britney Spears Going On Spending Rampage After End Of Conservatorship: REPORT)
Spears agreed to the move, but didn’t see her children in person to say goodbye as they were not communicating at the time.
