Butterball, the largest turkey company in the U.S., recently released a frozen bird that allows diners to go cold turkey on the multi-hour process of thawing the Thanksgiving staple.

The company’s new “Cook from Frozen” turkey only requires two steps before it is prepped for the plate: unwrapping it and cooking it in the oven, CNN reported.

How to thaw a turkey is one of the most common questions asked via Butterball’s Turkey Talk-Line, according to a company press release. Therefore, Butterball launched its new product, which lacks neck and giblets, to create a cleaner and calmer turkey-cooking process, the outlet reported.

A “specifically formulated” brine keeps the meat moist as it roasts for five hours, CNN reported. No bashing, brining or seasoning is required.

The “Cook from Frozen” turkey may encourage people to start hosting Thanksgiving without extra hands as it is easy to prepare, Neil Saunders, retail analyst and managing director at GlobalData Retail, told CNN. (RELATED: Major Convenience Store To Shut Down 450 Locations)

“This product seems to solve a lot of those issues, and it’s particularly appealing to younger consumers who may be hosting Thanksgiving for the first time,” Saunders continued. “It is also focused on convenience which, on a very busy day, is important to all consumer groups.”

Butterball’s new turkey cannot be stuffed, as doing so would “pose a food safety risk,” the outlet reported. The company recommends making stuffing separately.

Grocery store chains including Harris Teeter, Publix and select locations of Walmart and Kroger will carry the product. Other chains owned by Butterball, such as Fry’s and Ralphs, will also have the bird available for purchase, according to CNN.
