Celebrities Share Crazy Footage, Frantic Updates As Wildfires Consume Their Homes

Celebrities have flooded social media with tears, frantic updates, and stories of pure devastation as they watch their multi-million dollar homes burn in the inferno of the Pacific Palisades wildfires.

One of the wealthiest neighborhoods in California is consumed by fire, and one by one the stars are coming forward to share their stories. James Woods, actor from “Vampires” and “Once Upon A Time In America” broke down in tears on CNN as he revealed he lost his home. “One day you’re swimming in the pool and the next day it’s all gone,” Woods told CNN’s Pamela Brown. Tragic stories of loss and displacement have been reported by reality television stars, famous actors, and singers as they share their personal stories.

Soap star Cameron Mathison from “All My Children” confirmed his house was leveled by the fires in an Instagram reel Jan. 8. He shared a video of the aftermath that showed him walking down a path where his home once stood, as the sky above lit up in orange flames. Dense smoke covered the sky in the background, and the remains of his home were visibly scorched. He showed fans the charred structure that was still on fire.

“We are safe. But this is what’s left of our beautiful home,” Mathison wrote alongside the video” he said” “Our home where our kids were raised and where they wanted to raise their own someday.”

He’s far from being the only one that watched a lifetime of memories burn to the ground.

Mandy Moore shared an Instagram Story with fans, noting that she was “devastated,” and “gutted.”

“Grateful for the kindness of friends that we had a place to land last night. Trying to shield the kids from the immense sadness and worry I feel” Moore wrote.

Reality stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag confirmed they also lost their home.

Pratt shared a number of videos and images across his social media channels. In an Instagram post shared Jan. 8 he revealed that his son’s bed burned in the shape of a heart. Touching on the irony of the shocking image, he wrote, “a sign of how much love was in this house.”

Earlier the same day he showed flames roaring through his home. “Oh wow, it’s back there – for real – let’s go!” he shouted frantically, as he realized the necessity to evacuate.

He captioned the video with the words, “Nightmare came true.”

“Star Wars” star Mark Hamill revealed he was evacuated from Malibu and said the fires were the “most horrific fires since ’93,” and that his family had been “fleeing for our lives.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt posted an emotional message on Instagram.

“I have no words. Only prayers and holding as much hope as I can for our home and our kids while we watch everything burn. Thank you to every first responder fighting so hard for all of us. Thank you to every friend who reached out and new person I have hugged in tears in the last 24 hours. 💔🙏🏻.”

Paris Hilton shared resources for those in need of assistance on her Instagram story Jan. 8. Moments later, TMZ reported that her Malibu home was burnt to a crisp, and she lost everything in the inferno.

Maria Shriver shared shocking footage that showed the severity of the fire in her area.

“Heartbreaking, devastating, beyond belief. Everything is gone,” she wrote, Jan. 8.

“Our neighborhood, our restaurants. All our friends have lost everything. We have evacuated, but are safe. But people have lost everything. “The firefighters have and are doing their best, but this fire is massive and out of control.”

Kate Beckinsale shared an emotional message with fans as she struggled to come to terms with total destruction in the neighborhood she used to call home.

“My daughter and I lived there for most of her childhood and most of her childhood is gone,” she wrote on Instagram.

There are too many tales of tragedy to list, as the list of homes demolished in the wildfires continues to grow with no end in sight.
