As a Christian, it’s honestly hard to hate the Chiefs, and this just adds to it.
Gracie Hunt, the heiress of the Kansas City Chiefs, has built up quite the name for herself in the NFL’s circles. And no, it’s not just because of her being a part of one of the most iconic families in the history of the league.
A former Miss Kansas USA beauty queen, the 25-year-old Hunt has been catching attention from fans with her pregame prayers prior to Kansas City games, receiving praise because of the incredibly small number of celebrities who openly show their love for Jesus Christ. Hunt has no problem doing that whatsoever, consistently sharing Bible verses on social media.
“This is sure a lot better than some of the other messaging we have seen in pro sports. Keep it up!” a fan wrote following Hunt’s prayer prior to the Nov. 29 game between the Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders.
Ahead of their most recent contest (Dec. 8) against the Los Angeles Chargers, Hunt posted another Bible verse, this time from Psalm 131:1-2. (RELATED: Kansas City Chiefs Have Secret Weapon That Has Led To Their Super Bowl Success — Prayer)
“We should find contentment in all circumstances and all things, knowing who holds our lives and who has paved our paths and goes before us in all we do—and that’s Jesus!” said Hunt. “And, also, just to walk in humility and have a humble servant leader attitude in all that we do because true humility is how we lead and love best.”
In response, Hunt was issued praise by fans.
“Love the boldness because the media hates Jesus,” said a fan.
“I appreciate her courage to speak out about her faith,” another wrote.
“Love this. Out of loyalty I can’t root for the Chiefs but this makes me wish I could,” a third commented.
Shoutout to Gracie Hunt! A true child of Jesus Christ!
