Every college baseball team in America needs to follow this example!
Ever since President Donald Trump won the election back in November, we’ve been seeing loads of athletes show blatant patriotism for the greatest country in the world. We’ve even seen some, like Florida Panthers superstar Matthew Tkachuk, talk about how thankful they are to be an American.
Well, the Clemson Tigers baseball team just raised the bar higher, honoring our veterans in one of the coolest ways ever. (RELATED: Riley Gaines, Pro-Women Advocates Absolutely Flame NCAA In Powerful New XX-XY Athletics Commercial)
When we got to the middle of the fourth inning of a recent Tigers game, the PA announcer requested for veterans in the crowd to stand up and receive some recognition. That’s already cool in itself, but Clemson elevated things to tremendous levels.
In a new tradition that Clemson has started this year, they will be playing Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA” at home games while the whole team exits the dugout to go into the crowd to recognize veterans by shaking their hands.
We finally got a look at this in a recent contest when the Tigers squared off against North Carolina A&T, and the views are absolutely spectacular.
