Columbia: A wretched hive of scum and villainy Columbia: A wretched hive of scum and villainy

Every society has a place that is viewed as a toxic haven of immorality. Many in the United States try to point to combat sports, rap music, or video games as the biggest culprit, when in fact, America’s wretched hive of scum and villainy is actually Columbia University.

Nestled in the bastion of morality and humanity that is New York City, Columbia has rapidly risen the ranks to become the most despicable of the Ivy League universities, an impressive feat considering the arrogance of the plagiarizing elitists at Harvard. Columbia became the hottest of hotbeds for antisemitic rioters after Palestinians murdered 1,200 Jewish civilians in Israel. Columbia students took to university property to form antisemitic encampments and even took over a building, being left off the hook because pro-criminal Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said law enforcement couldn’t identify them after police arrested them in the middle of their crime.

Columbia’s antisemitic students are back and bolder than ever in the fall 2024 semester, featuring a new school newspaper named the Columbia Intifada. The paper does a little genocide-apologia on behalf of Palestinian terrorists, from the “Intifada” name to the caption calling for the elimination of Israel “from the river to the sea” to even an article complaining about the “Two-State Solution” or, more accurately, the Jewish part of that two-state solution.

That antisemitism extends to Columbia faculty, including multiple university deans who mocked Jewish students and community members for feeling unsafe in the presence of people such as the students who publish a newspaper called the Columbia Intifada. It’s not a great sign when the people who run a university think Jews not wanting to be assaulted on campus “comes from such a place of privilege.”

Genocide-apologia is apparently not the extent of Columbia University staff being a little too comfortable with the murder of civilians. After UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was gunned down in cold blood on the streets of New York City, several edgy leftwing social media users channeled their communist fantasies and celebrated. Nothing says the “right side of history” quite like cheering the killing of your political opponents in the streets.

However, it was not just random lowlifes on social media taking the pro-murder side. Tim Wu, a law professor at Columbia, hit everyone with the classic “I do not condone violence. But … ” genre of posts, using that exact quote to say Thompson’s murder was his own fault. Anthony Zenkus, a “senior lecturer” at Columbia and self-described communist, celebrated Thompson’s death and blamed him for “the deaths of 68,000 Americans who needlessly die each year.” Ever the communist, Zenkus also said he, a professor at an Ivy League university, is “working class,” which gives him the right to celebrate murder.

If you are looking for a sliver of morality, you are not going to find it at Columbia. Maybe you could excuse one pro-murder professor here or an antisemitic student there (maybe), but Columbia has managed to collect swarms of people with some of the most despicable beliefs you will find in the country. You can only wonder how bad the applicants who get rejected by the university every year are.
