If I’m a Commanders fan, I’m nervous … very nervous.
Jayden Daniels, the Washington Commanders‘ rising star quarterback out of LSU, got knocked with a rib injury during his team’s first possession Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. He was later ruled out of the game.
In the first quarter, Daniels went back to the locker room with trainers and didn’t come back to the sidelines until the second half. Then, he was wearing street clothes. Daniels took an X-ray, with ESPN reporting from a source that “he’s good.”
It appears that Daniels suffered his injury during Washington‘s first play from scrimmage when he took off for a 46-yard run. Near the close of his dash, Daniels went slightly to the left in an attempt to stiff arm Carolina safety Lonnie Johnson Jr., with linebacker Marquis Haynes helping Johnson tackle Daniels as well from behind him.
It ended up being quite the awkward fall for Daniels, and everything just escalated from there.

I got instant flashes of Robert Griffin III, he took off quickly with Washington just like Daniels and then crumbled quickly after due to injuries … how do you sleep if you’re a Commanders fan?
