Various country music stars helped raise a staggering $24.5 million in Hurricane Helene relief at the Concert for Carolina benefit event Saturday night.

Hurricane Helene hit North Carolina in late September as one of the state’s deadliest storms, killing dozens of victims and destroying seemingly endless amounts of homes and businesses. One month later, not even a rainy delay could stop more than 82,000 attendees from filling the Bank of America Stadium for the hurricane relief charity concert headlined by country legends Eric Church and Luke Combs, according to The Charlotte Observer.

Other noteworthy performers included Billy Strings, Keith Urban, Sheryl Crow, James Taylor and The Avery Brothers, the outlet reported.

The setlist began with Church singing the song “Hallelujah” and ended with an encore of the song “Carolina,” according to the outlet.

“Every single dollar that is made in the building tonight is going straight to those damn mountains to the people that need it the most,” Combs said during his set, video posted on X shows.

The concert was initially slated to start at 5 p.m., but it was delayed until 7 p.m. The musicians played for nearly 6 hours, ending around 1 a.m. Sunday, Billboard reported.

Strings played a tribute to his musical hero, Doc Watson of North Carolina, with a cover of “Train That Carried My Girl from Town.” Church performed a 10-song medley consisting of his childhood influences, according to the outlet. Taylor’s performance included “Fire and Rain,” “You’ve Got a Friend” and “Carolina in My Mind,” the outlet reported.

Some country stars sang duets, including Church and Crow’s joint performance of Crow’s 2001 hit “Picture” and Urban and Church’s rendition of their 2013 collaboration “Raise ‘Em Up,” the outlet noted.

Stadium owners David and Nicole Tepper, who also own the Panthers football team, donated the facility. Vendors donated all money raised from concessions, merchandise and parking to the multi-million-dollar total funds raised, according to Billboard.
