Could we soon see Coach Prime in Big D?
Just firing Mike McCarthy, the Dallas Cowboys are obviously in the early stages when it comes to their head coaching position, but with that being said, they already have a prime target for who they want: current Colorado skipper and Cowboys legend Deion Sanders.
According to the original report from Fox Sports, Sanders and Jones had conversations Monday. At this time, there’s not currently an interview scheduled between the two, but they are expected to continue their talks. Sanders has been connected to the Dallas job for a while now, even back in the fall when McCarthy was still in charge of the team.
“To hear from Jerry Jones is truly delightful, and it’s intriguing,” said Sanders to ESPN’s Adam Schefter in a dialogue Monday night. “I love Jerry and believe in Jerry. After you hang up and process it, and think about it, it’s intriguing. But I love Boulder and everything there is about our team, the coaches, our student body and the community.”
Sources: #Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has spoken with Colorado HC Deion Sanders about the team’s head coaching vacancy, and discussions are expected to continue regarding the possibility of him becoming the next head coach in Dallas.

I love Coach Prime, so wherever he goes, that franchise (or program) will be cool with me … as far as the Cowboys, it would be straight up iconic to see it.
