Love ’em or hate ’em, good or bad, the Cowboys are drawing numbers.
If you’re irritated that the Dallas Cowboys consistently get “Game of the Week” and primetime contests, it might be your fault, because their television ratings are sky high.
After suffering a “Sunday Night Football” loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the Cowboys dropped to 3-4 in what’s been a dreadful season. In all four of their 2024 defeats, Dallas has been down in each game by a minimum of three scores at one point during so. Oh, but it gets worse: The ‘Boys have faced a deficit at some point in all seven contests this year as well! But despite the lowly performances, the Cowboys are still bringing in strong viewership figures, which spells money, money, money for advertisers!
And their latest example is the “SNF” matchup against the Niners, with NBC pulling in around 24 million viewers for the game. The figure is the most all-time for a Week 8 audience in “Sunday Night Football” history. And to make it even crazier, the number is a whopping 10 million more viewers than what Game 2 of the World Series brought in, the same Fall Classic that features two legendary brands and two iconic cities in the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees.

A massive fan base combined with an extraordinary amount of haters is going to bring in TV ratings, so the next time you complain, just remember that.
