After a crushing defeat to Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, members of the Democratic Party have remained utterly incapable of learning from their biggest mistake.
The Democrats have Bud Lighted their brand over the past several years by embracing radical ideas, like sex changes for minors and “anti-racism” initiatives, that turn off normal, working-class voters. No ordinary American thinks little Jimmy needs to get chemically castrated because he’s confused about his “gender identity,” nor do they think a white person is inherently racist and evil solely based on the color of their skin. But unlike Anheuser-Busch, many Democrats are still refusing to change their tune, either out of arrogance, stupidity or a lethal combination of both. In his first interview since losing to Trump, Tim Walz, the notorious, shotgun-fumbling Marxist Mr. Magoo, appeared to have no time for introspection over his party’s poor performance this election cycle. Instead, he blamed the loss on mean-spirited Americans who failed to grasp the Harris campaign’s positive message of inclusivity.
“We were pledging to be inclusive, we were pledging to bring people in,” Walz said. “Donald Trump has said that that isn’t what he wants, and so if that’s what America is leaning towards, I guess for me, it’s to understand and learn more about America, because I thought that they were going to probably move towards a more positive message.”
Several other events this week, including Daniel Penny’s acquittal, triggered some of the worst aspects of the Democratic Party, including its obsession with race-baiting. (Stream the Daily Caller’s ‘Demand For Hate’ documentary HERE)
Democratic Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett claimed that the Penny verdict was “more than a miscarriage of justice” — it was rather a “green light for more violence against unarmed Black Americans,” she wrote.

Crockett’s fellow lawmaker, Democratic Pennsylvania Rep. Summer Lee, echoed her statement and said that “vigilante violence against Black people often goes unchecked.”
“The acquittal of Daniel Penny in the murder of Jordan Neely is a painful reminder of a long-standing reality: vigilante violence against Black people often goes unchecked. Jordan deserved compassion, not violence. We stand with his loved ones in demanding accountability,” she said on X.

Immediately after the verdict, Black Lives Matter leader Hank Newsome called for “black vigilantes” to descend on American cities and sow chaos while addressing a crowd outside the New York City courthouse. However, it seems his pro-violence message has fallen on deaf ears.
“Like everybody else has vigilantes, we need some black vigilantes,” he said. “People want to jump up and choke us and kill us for being loud, how about we do the same when they attempt to oppress us? I’m tired. I know you’re looking for us to be like ‘oh, go and march. Go and march.’ No, this weekend, I want you to hold a community event, everywhere from the Bronx, to Houston, to Seattle, to Florida. Black people hold community events and talk about what you need.”
A woman seen on video standing beside him blew a gasket, saying, “God damn [the white people on the jury], and God damn America.”

It wasn’t only Penny’s acquittal that lured out the most depraved elements of the party. The assassination of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson and his alleged killer, 26-year-old Luigi Mangione, prompted outright celebration and more subtle, though no less toxic, equivocation from online left-wingers and figures as prominent as Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
Both Warren and fellow winger, Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, deployed that dirty conjunction, short but packed with chilling subtext: “but.”
“Violence is never the answer,” Warren said, “but people can be pushed only so far. This is a warning that if you push people hard enough, they lose faith in the ability of their government to make change, lose faith in the ability of the people who are providing the health care to make change, and start to take matters into their own hands in ways that will ultimately be a threat to everyone.”
Much like Warren, Ocasio-Cortez told a reporter Thursday that violence is not justified, but …
“This is not to say that an act of violence is justified, but I think for anyone who is confused or shocked or appalled, they need to understand that people interpret and feel and experience denied claims as an act of violence against them,” the congresswoman said.

Left-wing journalist Taylor Lorenz was a little more shameless. The former Washington Post and New York Times employee self-detonated on Piers Morgan’s show as she doubled down on her initial celebration of the CEO’s death.
“I think that it is a good thing that this murder has led to America, really the media elites and politicians in this country paying attention to this issue for the first time,” Lorenz said. “You mentioned you couldn’t understand why somebody would feel this reaction when they watched a CEO die. It’s because you have not dealt, it sounds like, with the American health care system in the way that millions of other Americans have.”
“We should not necessarily go around shooting people in the street. While I am joyful that this issue has been brought to attention … it doesn’t solve the systemic problem. UnitedHealthcare will just appoint a new ghoulish CEO. The point is that we need to fix these systems so that, again, people like Brian or whoever is in charge of these companies stop murdering tens of thousands of innocent Americans,” she added.
To be fair, not all Democrats have been spewing rhetoric since their election defeat. Several, including Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, did not equivocate when addressing Thompson’s murder and Mangione’s disturbing rise to stardom.
“He’s the asshole that’s going to die in prison. Congratulations if you want to celebrate that. A sewer is going to sewer. That’s what social media is about this. And I don’t know why the media wants to turn that into a story, just with these trolls saying these kinds of things anonymously like that,” Fetterman told a reporter. “I don’t know why that’s news. Remember, he has two children that are going to grow up without their father… It’s vile.”
Meanwhile, on a separate cultural issue, Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton kicked the hornet’s nest when he made what ought to be a completely banal argument that biological men should not be playing in women’s sports.
If Democrats want to win over the voters of all races and backgrounds they lost to Trump, they should start acting more like Moulton and Shapiro on the no-brainer issues like child sex changes or political violence. So long as they double down on fringe ideas, they will continue to lose elections. The long road back to building a new brand for their party will require much more patience and discipline from the likes of Ocasio-Cortez and race-baiting lawmakers like Crockett and Lee.
