Doctors responsible for pushing the idea that children can be transgender must be held accountable for all of the irreversible medical interventions imposed upon confused children and their mistaken parents.
An example of this is already underway as Dr. Johanna Olson-Kennedy is being sued by a woman who she helped transition as a child and who has since detransitioned. You can read the Washington Examiner write-up of that lawsuit here, but the key details are that, when the woman in question was a child, she was put on puberty blockers at age 12, put on testosterone at age 13, and put through a double mastectomy to have her breasts removed at age 14.
As you can imagine, blocking the puberty of a 12-year-old girl, pumping her full of male hormones, and surgically removing parts of her body are irreversible. This girl, now a 20-year-old woman, was a victim of medical professionals who lied to her and her parents, as Olson-Kennedy allegedly did in pressuring the family to begin transitioning her with fearmongering about transgender suicide. Children cannot consent to gender transitions, and the doctors foisting them on children should undeniably face legal consequences for it.
So should the doctors and medical professionals manipulating research and lying to the public and medical science in service of transgender ideology. Olson-Kennedy is guilty of this as well. Olson-Kennedy was part of a study that received a $5.7 million grant from the National Institutes of Health. The study would evaluate the effects of puberty blockers on two cohorts of children, one older group and one younger group.

Olson-Kennedy admitted that researchers were withholding the results of that study from the public because she did not want them to be “weaponized” against the use of puberty blockers on children. The study has reportedly failed to indicate that there were any mental health benefits to putting children on puberty blockers. As you can imagine, Olson-Kennedy would be screaming from the rooftops if the study supported her position — instead, she is hiding data that America’s taxpayers paid for to the tune of $5.7 million.
The untold, irreversible damage done to children in the name of transgenderism has many culprits, including the activists and politicians pushing these fantasies. But doctors are abusing their positions of trust and encouraging or performing these gender transitions on children in defiance of basic science and biology, and they need to be held responsible for the permanent physical disfigurement of children who they decide must be transgender.
