Could Juan Soto be headed to sunny California?
One of the main reasons why the New York Yankees punched their tickets into the World Series is superstar Juan Soto, however, a new report already has the possibility of Soto leaving the Big Apple being a very real one despite his NYC heroics. The Yanks are currently in a 2-0 deficit against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Fall Classic. After the World Series is done, Soto will enter free agency and be pursued by every big market franchise as he’s not just one of the best hitters in the game today, but we’re talking of all-time when it comes to his talent. And then you also have the fact that he’s 26 years old, which makes him even more exotic.
In the buildup to Soto’s free agency, the assumptions have been that he would remain with the Yankees or become a part of the New York Mets in Queens. Regardless, most thought that he would stay in New York City no matter what. But uh … it looks like a serious threat has come into the picture to take Soto away from not just the Yanks, but the Big Apple, and it’s none other than the pinstripes’ World Series opponent in the Dodgers. The news was reported by the New York Post’s Jon Heyman.
