Dr. Phil McGraw appeared to walk back his endorsement of former President Donald Trump during an ambiguous interview with Piers Morgan on Tuesday.
McGraw had publicly endorsed the former president at his New York City rally in late October, but told Morgan the endorsement “was an act of rebellion” on his part. He explained in a preview of the interview that he was irked by Vice President Kamala Harris at the time.
“I requested 25 plus times to speak to Kamala Harris – I offered to give the identical speech at her rally.”

“I requested 25-plus times to speak to Kamala Harris,” he said. “I offered to give the identical speech at a Harris rally.”
McGraw said he was “not here to endorse Donald Trump” and that he doesn’t “like a lot of what he says or does.” The television psychologist also said he would not publicly reveal for whom he plans to vote.
“I think I have, but I’ll never tell,” he said of his imminent voting decision. (Stream Daily Caller’s latest documentary ‘Cleaning Up Kamala’ HERE)
The television psychologist spoke at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally in late October, describing the former president as being “tough as an old army boot.”
“No human is perfect. We don’t strive for perfection. We strive for excellence,” McGraw said at the rally. “But you don’t have to love everything about someone in order to love them and the last thing he needs is some celebrity endorsement.”
McGraw’s interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored is set to be released Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. (EST). (RELATED: Trump Fans Blast Rihanna’s Endorsement Post: ‘Maybe She Should Be Arrested’)
